Irish Open Poker Tournament
Registration has opened for the
Paddy Power Poker Irish Open 2006. Players are advised to register early to avoid disappointment - the 3,000 euro (+200 euro) event has a maximum capacity of 400 players and is expected to sell out ahead of the start of the event on Saturday 15 April 2006.
The Irish Open is Europe's longest established poker tournament - it is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. The event has a guaranteed prize pool of 1 million euro as well as 50,000 euro added by the tournament sponsors.
Players can pay in full for the event at the festival through The Merrion Casino Club which has been associated with the Irish Open for much of its 25 year history. Deposits do not secure a passage into this tournament - payment in full is necessary for players to confirm their place.
