Paddy Last Competition

The best Paddy Power Poker online qualifier at the Irish Open 2007 will win a seat at the World Series of Poker 2007 main event in Las Vegas as the popular competition within a competition 'Paddy last' returns for the Irish Open 2007.

Last year's winner Sligo man Pat O'Callaghan scooped the €12,500 package to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas by outlasting over 48 other online qualifiers, coming 19th and winning an additional €6,000 in prize money.

Players who qualify for the Irish Open main event through Paddy Power Poker's weekly satellite tournaments are automatically entered into the competition to win the package.

Players can qualify for a shot at 'Paddy last' in one of three ways:

* Win a Grand Final seat daily at 2 p.m. & 10 p.m. - buy-in $12 + $0.60 (rebuy)
* Buy in directly to a Grand Final for $198 + $9.90 every Sunday at 9 p.m. (rebuy)
* Win one of our $1 (10c registration fee) Shootout Tournaments on the 1st Monday of every month at 8pm.

Live satellites in card clubs and casinos around the world will be announced in the coming months.

This year's event, which will be filmed for TV, is one of the most prestigous in Europe with a €2 million guaranteed prize pool and a capacity for 800 players paying €3,300 (+€200 reg) to play over Easter Weekend 2007 against the best players in the world.

Last year, Dubliner Vincent Melinn won the €350,000 first prize in only his second ever live tournament and the final table was broadcast live across Europe - a world's first!
